This is where all of your planning becomes a reality: your safari starts now. Tanzania is such a wonderful country when it comes to wildlife and beautiful landscapes. After we greet you and answer any questions you might have, we'll take great pleasure in taking you out and showing you what we mean.

The best views of Mt Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain, may be from Kenya, but it’s here in Tanzania where you actually get to climb it. The forests and small villages in the lower foothills soon give way to thinning crowds and more open country as the slopes steepen.

Activity Day 1

Pickup at Arusha with guide and mountain crews, then drive to Marangu for start to climb Mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro

Along the Marangu Route and at an altitude of 2700m on the slopes of Mt Kilimanjaro, Mandara Hut is a good place to rest tired legs and meet other travelers who are also climbing the mountain. You'll sleep in bunk beds, and the hut is surrounded by forests because it lies below the tree line. There are some nice views in the area as well.

Sleep in simple wooden bunks and swap stories with other climbers when you stay at Horombo Hut. It lies on the slopes of Mt Kilimanjaro, along the Marangu Route, at an altitude of 3720m. Enjoy views in the area, the company of other travelers and a well-earned rest. There are very few trees in the area because you're above the tree line here on Africa's highest mountain.

Kibo Hut

One of the highest-altitude places you can sleep anywhere in Africa, Kibo Hut (4703m above sea level) offers simple accommodation within sight of Mt Kilimanjaro's summit. The surroundings are beautiful, a bare landscape that's known as alpine desert, with no trees. It can get really cold here at night. Enjoy meeting other travelers who have also made it this far.

You're standing on the roof of Africa when you reach Mt Kilimanjaro Summit.

Trekking to Kilimanjaro, Uhuru Peak

Stay again at Horombo Hut.

Final day with us

Descend directly to the gate (2-3 hours), where you will have lunch and receive climbing certificate, Marangu Gate
Pick up at Marangu gate then drive to Arusha for dinner and overnight, Arusha
